Working with the Makiki Community Library, ASWS gives Rediscover Makiki 2009 at Makiki District Park some graphic respect knuckles. The promotion included a poster, flyer and T-shirt design. The parallel event ‘Urban Arts Center’ was co-sponsored by our friends at ABP, ROCKSHOP and 808Urban. Thanks ya’ll!
We recently completed photography and design services for Jon Swift’s Pathway. In an effort to reduce packaging, the design consists of a simple two-sided sleeve and reflects the themes contained within the album.
The Vanguard Lofts required a variation of printed materials to assist agents in the Sales Center. Collateral was designed to be flexible and consistent with the attitude of the sales brochure and website. The Vanguard colors were used to create strong contrast while communicating a certain level of sophistication that buyers would expect from the Lofts project. The objective of the brochure was to create a unique experience that symbolized the attitude and style of the Lofts. Part of the challenge was to rethink the overall take-away experience and design something that had a shelf life beyond the typical real estate brochure. The concept was to visualize three overarching themes that identified the buyer through photography and writing. The themes of Customize, Connection (with your environment) and Community helped to address the Vanguard Loft’s forward thinking and practical elements. [Continue...]
Airspace Workshop was selected to design Alexander & Baldwin’s 2007 Annual Report, fulfilling art direction and graphic design duties once again. The theme of the report was “Evolve” which required the design to showcase the companies assets and strategies while highlighting business-to-business relations.
Airspace Workshop assumes Art Direction duties for A’ala Park Boardshop’s skateboard video, “the struggle”. Title and individual section motion graphics, as well as accompanying DVD packaging design were delivered to APB.
Airspace Workshop flew to Maui to cover the Maui International Film Festival for Modern Luxury magazine. The Fall 2007 issue is available on newsstands now.
Airspace Workshop continues its relationship with the Hawaii International Film Festival in 2007, providing print design services for HIFF’s 10th Annual Spring Showcase. Items delivered include a festival poster, program guide, staff badges and buttons, passes, and signage.
Selected to design Alexander & Baldwin’s 2006 Annual Report, ASWS provided art direction and graphic design duties. The theme of the report was “New Ways & New Places” and a conscious effort was made to balance both people and assets of the company. This is reflected not only in the photography, but also in the overall layout and design of the report.
Airspace Workshop was selected to design the print materials for the 2006 Hawaii International Film Festival. During our initial meeting, the HIFF expressed a desire to establish a Festival brand, something they felt did not exist at the time. The HIFF also wanted to unify its collateral underneath this new brand, and establish a consistency to help strengthen the Festival’s identity.
After reviewing the existing materials, we set out to refine and develop the HIFF logo. The new design is based on 35mm, 16mm and 8mm film aspect ratios, and consists of a strong typographic treatment.
