I recently discovered this wealth of mid-century awesomeness, which does a nice job aggregating both classic and modern nods to the aesthetic. While browsing the site I came upon an interview with Adrian Johnson that struck a chord.
I honestly believe there has to be a balance. I’ve found that in the past taking a brief sabbatical from commercial work has been hugely beneficial from a creative perspective.
True dat. My prediction for 2009, craftiness will rule. Let’s get hands-on!
