Electroma
So I spent 70 minutes of my Saturday evening watching Daft Punk’s Electroma, which is available internationally on DVD (coming soon to the U.S. courtesy of Vice) and currently touring the nation via midnight screenings and festival appearances. The film contains no Daft Punk tracks and no dialog, but plenty of robots and extraneous cinematic artistry. It’s a minimalist visual opus, so if the symphony and THX 1138 don’t appeal to you, then stay far, far away.
